May-26, 2018. San Luis Obispo. It is a very busy day today. After a quick full breakfast at Denny’s (just a few steps from the Vagabond Hotel. We proceeded to the Ludwick Center, where the Central Coast C&SS 2018 Show is being hosted.
Now I know why we needed a larger car, the X5. By 1pm, when we left the show floor, we have a truckload of cactus, succulent, pots, boxes, stones, plus insects fully loaded. We have 18 big and small boxes loaded into the X5 compartment. 113 also met with Mary Paracca and Richard Rowe at the show floor. We spent the whole Saturday morning at Ludwick.
Our next destination, Morro Bay. A short west bound drive from San Luis Obispo via Freeway 1 towards the Pacific shores. What a beautiful place. We have a good opportunity to visit this city thrice and once with Angkong and Ama on July of 2013 on our Ventura, Santa Barbara, Solvang, Morro Bay Short Tour.
I guess Morro Bay will be one city that has grown close to our hearts, both mine and 113’s. Calm and peaceful, careful and fascinating. We had late lunch at a busy restaurant called “Dutchman’s.” Food is good, and yes, expensive. The more reason you need to rate it as good.
Matt-Matt, John-John and Mama made friends with a few Squirrels along the shore in Morro Bay. These animals are very friendly, or perhaps they are, when hungry eh? We have always loved Morro Bay, and we will be back soon. We drove back to the Vanguard Hotel, SLO. Knowing that we need to rearrange our truckload of cactus and succulents to give a little room for our backpacks and 113’s bagagges.
The second night sleep was fantastic. After a long, long day. dapat lang. Nobody complained about the old room, old bed, old bathroom, old carpet. Everyone too tired I guess.
